How to change the shape of your lips with the overlining technique? A highly effective asymmetrical lip contour

It is actually about cheating on the shape and thickness of the upper lip and the lower lip and correcting the asymmetry of the lips. The technique consists of redrawing the outline of the lips with a lip pencil. You say this is nothing new! You are probably right, but the technique of overlining is quite different. It is therefore a question of slightly thickening the contour of the lips by drawing a line which goes beyond it subtly; no more than 1 or 2 millimetres. For that :

Draw a line with your traditional lip liner, going slightly beyond the outline, then blend with a brush;

We prepare our lips

So start with a scrub with a special product to remove dead skin and make your lips soft. If you prefer natural products, and you are right because it is healthier and more economical, we have for you a simple remedy to apply: honey and sugar.

Mix in a bowl 2 teaspoons of sugar and 2 teaspoons of honey;
Add 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil like coconut oil (optional);
Apply a small amount to the lips;
Massage in circular movements for a few minutes;
Rinse and pat dry with a paper towel.

You can add a few drops of lemon juice to your treatment to lighten your lips. You will only be more satisfied.

Then comes the step of hydration. You can either apply a lip balm or a specific treatment. You want to prepare your in-dis-pen-sand balm for save you the chapping, cracks, scales, we give you the recipe that you can draw three times a day. The key: soft, hydrated and plumped lips.

1 teaspoon shea or cocoa butter
1 teaspoon jojoba or sweet almond oil
1 teaspoon of beeswax or candelilla

Make sure the lipstick stays on

You have finished the step of hydration! Now you pat your lips with a tissue to remove excess balm. For better fixation of your rouge, apply a little foundation with a brush then add a little translucent powder on top to fix it. You are now ready to apply your lipstick.

We move on to pencil and lipstick

Choose the pencil that comes closest to your lip color or the rouge you have chosen. Pro tip: Put it in the fridge before cutting it so that the mine is sharp and the line more precise. Clever no!

Start by tracing your lips starting with the cupid’s bow. then start from the corners to join the heart of the lips by penciling small lines along the line. Do the same with the lower lip. This is the technical step!

Tip from make-up artists: in the event of a slip-up, concealer will be your saviour. Just put a little on a cotton swab to erase an asymmetrical line or a crossing out. And your lipstick will be perfect. Add a gloss in the middle of the lips for a rounded and fresh look at the same time.
